The Maths4us initiative with NIACE, the adult learning organisation, and the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics which will train reps to combat the poor numeracy skills blighting more than a fifth of the adult population and create a cadre of ‘maths messengers’ to act as advocates for parents, colleagues and workmates.
